Google Announces Launch of Google Garden Gnomes Technology

Google today announced the release of beta version of 3G, that is, Google Garden Gnomes, an innovative mapping and local search application for garden gnomes. Google is working with various associations and groups of volunteers to map most garden gnome in the world by Fall 2010. Up to now, more than three million gnomes have already been mapped in both USA and Europe, over 500,000 in Japan.

Google is committed to providing users with quick and easy access to the information they need, no matter what data they are and if they are really needed. 3G makes garden gnomes mapping and search faster and more convenient.

3G is going to be launched in the US and Europe in November 2008, and it will enables users to view interactive maps and satellite imagery of all gardens featuring any kind of gnome. Any user will be authorized to tag gnomes, whereas only gnome owners will be authorized to upload pictures and additional info too.

Google expects 3G will be actively used by millions of people in more than 20 different countries around the globe.
